October 2021 Results and Final GC positions
Well done to all the competitors who participated this year and made the competition fun and fiercely contested.
The end of October marked the closing of this year’s Strava segment of the month challenge. October’s punchy segment through Ashley provided a stern challenge for those riders willing to brave the worsening weather.
In the Women’s competition Vanda Kyselicova posted the only time of 03:18, to take the first-place haul of 15 points.
In the Men’s competition, George Bentall set a blistering time of 02:03 that proved unassailable, taking the top spot and 15 points in the process. Ben Gibbs took second place with a time of 02:07 and Dave Morris rounded of the top three with 02:08.
In the Women’s GC, congratulations go to Vanda Kyselicova who has crowned herself 2021 Women’s champion with 93 points. Runners up position goes to Joanne Clarke with 72 points and Jools May rounds off the podium in third place with 30 points.
In the Men’s GC competition, last year’s champion Ben Gibbs has done it again, retaining the champions crown for 2021 with a points-tally of 136. The Men’s runners up position goes to James Cocker on 116 points. The third place goes to Nick Barber with 80 points.
